For the time being, 1993 is the final Porsche year for Joest Racing. Under the direction of Ralf Jüttner, the team develops probably the most spectacular version of the Porsche 962C with an enormous double rear wing. With the “Double Decker”, Joest Racing celebrates a one-two at the IMSA race in Road America (USA). Simultaneously, Joest Racing is appointed by Opel as works and development team for the DTM. The Opel Calibra V6 makes its debut at the Hockenheim finale. Keke Rosberg scores points first time out in the Joest-Calibra.
