As Managing Director Ralf Jüttner, born in 1957, shoulders extensive responsibility at Joest Racing. Jüttner has been employed at the Wald-Michelbach based racing team since 1992 and, in addition to the many sportscar victories, also led the team to the ITC championship title with the Opel Calibra. In 2003 and 2004 when Audi did not compete as factory team in sportscars Jüttner supported the customer team Goh and the Audi group sister Bentley with his know-how during their Le Mans victories.
Jüttner inherited the love of motorsport at birth. His father Fritz was factory driver for Borgward. He saved his race car from the bankruptcy of the brand before it was inherited by his son Ralf. Today the car is on display in the Prototype Museum in Hamburg.
Ralf Jüttner also likes it quick in his rare spare time: he rides a motorbike and occasionally competes in slot car races. He has also won a 24-hour slot car race.
